Consultation & Supervision

Supervision

Supervision implies an ongoing helpful relationship with a focus on developing thinking and practice skills in relation to a particular area of practice. We have significant experience providing clinical and safeguarding supervision for individuals and teams working in contexts of domestic violence and abuse.

Clinical consultation

Professional consultation about particular children and families can be a useful way of pausing and reflecting on assessment, risk assessment, care and safety plans, in order to review work undertaken and to think creatively about future work. It can be an opportunity to prepare for ‘critical moments’, such as presenting evidence and care plans in family proceedings.

Relational Third’s partners have extensive experience of offering supervision and consultation to other professionals and to teams. We are able to offer consultation on an ad hoc, one-off basis, to help professionals think about a particular complex case, and we are able to offer teams and organisations ongoing expert consultation in relation to your domestic violence and abuse service offer.
